About the Event
We are excited to announce a very special hands-on learning opportunity taking place on the pastures of ROAM Ranch. Join us as we learn about the regenerative agriculture movement and how the 5 principles of soil health effect our lives. These 5 principles are a universal foundation for regenerative agriculture and when adhered to, will lead to ecological restoration, improved productivity, carbon sequestration, wildlife habitat, increased nutritional quality of food, and has the potential to address climate change! Drs. Rick (USDA-ARS) and Liz Haney (Soil Regen, LLC) will discuss the value of nurturing the land in nature’s image by building healthy, biologically-diverse soils.
After a presentation on the foundations of how these 5 principles of soil health work, the ROAM Ranch crew will be doing a pasture walk and demonstrate how each of these principles is applied to their regenerative multispecies ranch.
This class is open to all land managers, gardeners, environmentalists, and anyone else interested in improving the health of Texas soil. You will walk away with a better understanding of soil health and how to apply regenerative practices to your unique context. You will NOT want to miss this!
